Do I need my own guitar?
If you already own a guitar, bring it along. If you have not bought one yet, get in touch first - a little guidance can save you from buying something uncomfortable or unsuitable.
Acoustic or electric?
Start with the guitar used in the music you want to play. Electric guitars can feel easier on new fingers; acoustics are simple and portable. Either is a perfectly good place to begin.
